Innovation is at the heart of everything we do here at BBF. We’re always looking for new trends, techniques and ideas that can be scaled up within our five bakery sites. We strive to delight consumers with delicious products at affordable prices, by creating bespoke products to cater to each and every one of our customers’ needs.
We offer a breadth of cakes and desserts across several different categories and, at any one time, we have in excess of 300 live projects across all of our bakeries with a team of over 30 people working in product development. Our NPD team is constantly working to ensure our product offering remains firmly at the forefront of the industry, as we respond to the ever-growing trend for indulgent treats to help celebrate life’s milestones.
Each of our bakeries work hard to maintain high industry standards (minimum A* BRC Accreditation) and leading service levels to our customers. Since 2016, our industry leading service levels have surpassed 99%, further affirming our place as one of the UK’s leading ambient cake and chilled dessert manufacturers.
Each of our bakeries works hard to maintain high industry food safety standards (AA BRC accreditation at our Bradford, Hull and Shadsworth bakeries, and A at our Blackburn and Szczecin, Poland bakeries). BRC Global Standards is a leading certification organisation which guarantees the standardisation of quality, safety and operational criteria. The scheme is used by over 26,000 certified suppliers across 130 countries and provides protection to the end user by ensuring manufacturers fulfil their legal obligations.
